Overview
Gift Queen was created to bring meaning, personality and care back into modern gifting. Operating as a bespoke service rather than a traditional retail or e-commerce model, the brand focuses on curated experiences that feel intentional, considered and deeply personal.
As the service evolved, there was a clear opportunity to refine the brand identity to better reflect the quality and thought behind each experience. The aim was to create a visual language that felt premium and confident, while still retaining warmth, approachability and a strong sense of personality.
"A gift is more than an object; it is a legacy of a moment. My goal is to take the stress out of the search so that my clients can focus on the connection, knowing the execution is in expert hands." — Aoife Burns, Founder
The Challenge
The existing presence needed to better communicate the value of a service-led offering. While the service was already highly personalised, leveraging a "fixer" network that spans luxury automotive, private travel and artisan crafts, the brand identity did not yet fully express the level of detail and creativity involved.
The challenge was to position Gift Queen as more than a gifting service by presenting it as a trusted, elevated partner. This required a delicate balance of refinement and emotion to ensure the brand felt both aspirational and down-to-earth.
Our Approach
We developed a refined creative direction rooted in the emotional nature of giving. The brand identity was designed to feel calm, confident and expressive, utilising a jewel-tone palette of luxurious reds, greens and blues. We used clean, modern composition to create a sense of quiet sophistication.
Rather than overcomplicating the experience, the focus was placed on clarity. Every design decision was guided by the idea of making the service feel effortless for the client, while communicating the meticulous thought that sits behind each bespoke project.
Brand Identity & Creative Direction
The identity balances elegance with personality to create a system that feels both polished and human. Typography plays a key role in this, as pairing refined, contemporary letterforms with generous spacing creates a sense of calm and luxury.
The creative direction focuses on anticipation and sentiment. Across the brand touchpoints, the visuals highlight the feeling of receiving something commissioned rather than simply purchased. Every element was designed to feel considered and shareable, reinforcing the bespoke nature of Aoife’s work.
Website Experience
The website was designed to communicate the service clearly and confidently, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and trust. Moving away from a product-led structure, the experience focuses on guiding users through the process and the values behind the brand.
We integrated Aoife’s unique background as a mum of three, a disability advocate and a natural-born ‘fixer’ directly into the narrative. This ensures that while the service is high-end, it remains deeply human and approachable.
Outcome
The refreshed identity positions Gift Queen as a modern bespoke gifting service built around highly personalised experiences. The brand feels aligned with the quality delivered behind the scenes, combining elegance, emotion and clarity to create a memorable presence.
"I needed a brand that reflected my love for the finer things without feeling distant or pretentious. Fifth House captured that balance perfectly. They took my background, from the 'fixer' mentality to my work as an advocate, and turned it into a sophisticated visual identity that feels exactly like me. The process was seamless, and for the first time, my digital presence finally matches the quality of the service I provide." — Aoife Burns, Gift Queen
